Commentary: Silicon Valley Rebound
If our coterie is any indication of the economy in Silicon Valley, we’re starting to look at an upswing. After speaking to sundry of our clients, vendors and business partners, the overwhelming consensus was starting in October/November of 2007, each’s business began a steep decline. However, in recent weeks, we’ve seen a substantive turnover in customer’s purchasing habits. Perhaps things are getting outdo, or perhaps we’ve all become accustomed to the new debt economy and can no longer provide to put off necessary purchases. Even projects we thought could be put off for a few months pull someone's leg come around to become more urgent projects.
Several customers are expanding their global footprint, while others are expanding domestically by purchasing other companies to leverage the labor and company savings found outside the Silicon Valley. In any event, business is starting to grow again, and we hope that this is not only a sign of recovery for the Valley, but something that see fit touch the lives of all business owners, and employees alike.
